How do I copy shared rules for use in my IZ?

You will find excellent merge, normalization, indication, and other types of rules shared by your CUNY colleagues and other Alma customers around the world. You can copy these rules to your Institution Zone (IZ) for your own use.

1. Open the Metadata Editor.

2. Click on the "Rules" tab.

3. Go to New > Placement Options.

4. Use these settings:

5. Locate the rule you want to copy. You can either click on Shared or Community to browse the rules or do a search.

6. Right click on the rule you want to copy and select Duplicate​​​​​​​.

7. Edit the name and description if necessary, then click Save​​​​​​​.
