FAQ

How do I revert to a previous version of a bibliographic record?

If you or someone else made extensive changes to a bibliographic record, you can revert to a previous version instead of editing the record. This is especially helpful if a record has been incorrectly overlaid with a different record or stripped of lots of metadata. You will only be able to do this if you have the Cataloger, Catalog Manager, Catalog Administrator, or Cataloger Extended role.

1. Open the record in the Metadata Editor

2. Go to View Related Data and select either View Versions or View versions of original record

3. Locate the correct version and click Restore

4. Save and release the record
