What are the different kinds of electronic collections in Alma?

In Alma, there are three types of electronic collections.

  • Database
    • Electronic resource that can’t be divided into individual titles
    • E.g., ARTstor, Encyclopedia Britannica, Web of Science
  • Aggregator package
    • Electronic resource where you have access to all electronic titles
    • E.g., Academic Search Complete, JSTOR, ProQuest Research Library
  • Selective package
    • Electronic resource where you only have access to some electronic titles
    • E.g., Cambridge Histories Online, Kanopy, Wiley Online Library
