How do I add or remove money from a fund in Alma?

You can change the amount of money in any fund in Alma with type "Allocated fund." You must have the Fund Manager role to do this.

Add Money to a Fund

1. Go to Acquisitions > Acquisitions Infrastructure > Funds and Ledgers.

2. Click on the fund name or click Edit.

3. Go to the Transactions tab.

4. Click Allocate Funds.

5. Enter a number as an "Allocation amount." This is the only required field, but you can also add a reference number, note, and reporting codes.

6. Click Add allocation transaction.

7. Click Confirm.

 

Remove Money from a Fund

1. Go to Acquisitions > Acquisitions Infrastructure > Funds and Ledgers.

2. Click on the fund name or click Edit.

3. Go to the Transactions tab.

4. Click Allocate Funds.

5. Enter a minus symbol followed by a number as an "Allocation amount." This is the only required field, but you can also add a reference number, note, and reporting codes.

6. Click Add allocation transaction.

7. Click Confirm.
