How can I determine the source of links in the "View Online" section of a OneSearch record?
Sometimes you can't tell where the link in OneSearch is coming from. If the record comes from the Central Discovery Index (CDI), you can use the CDI Activation Analysis Tool to find out which electronic collection is responsible for the online access.
Basic: Check the source in OneSearch
Look at the "Source" field in the "Details" section in OneSearch. Here are some examples:
- This record comes from CUNY Academic Works. The source is "CUNY Academic Works."
- This record comes from Alma. The source is "Library Catalog."
- This record comes from the Central Discovery Index. The source is "Ebook Central Perpetual and DDA."
Advanced: Run the CDI Activation Analysis Tool
Go to https://cdi-rights-analysis.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/client/create. Fill out the Library and Record Id fields, then click Start Analysis.
