How is shared print retention marked in Alma?

Schools participating in the shared print retention program at CUNY agree to hold certain books until September 30, 2038. The books are marked in two ways in Alma:

  • Holdings record statement
    • 583    1_    $a Committed to retain $c 20241001 $d 20380930 $f CUNY $2 pda $5 NBC

  • Item record retention designation
    • Committed to Retain: Yes
    • Retention Reason: CUNY Shared Print
