FAQ
How do I set up SUSHI in Alma?
Alma supports the automated harvesting of COUNTER reports via SUSHI. The data from the reports can then be used in Alma Analytics to get a sense of e-resource usage.
Setting up SUSHI isn't complicated, but the Ex Libris documentation is somewhat lacking and some vendors we deal with regularly have unique configurations.
To set up SUSHI (or manage usage data) you need access to view and edit vendors.
Adding SUSHI Credentials
1. From Acquisitions > Acquisitions Infrastructure > Vendors, add or edit the vendor details for the vendor you want to add SUSHI for.
2. Go to the "Usage Data" tab and select Add SUSHI Account.
- You will have to select R4 or R5. If the vendor supports R5 you should use that.
3. Use the "Select from List" icon in the "SUSHI Account" field and search for the vendor. (All vendors that support SUSHI with Alma will appear.) That will populate the Vendor URL.
4. Fill out whatever customer information you need to provide.
5. On the top, try Test Connection to make sure you've provided the right information to connect.
- If it fails outright, check that the information you provided was correct and complete.
6. Add Usage Report Types.
- It's recommended to use the "..." icon and use "Test Connection with Response" for at least the first one to make sure everything's working as expected.
7. Once you've added all of the report types you want, make sure you save.
Report Types
The Ex Libris documentation provides a list of all of the possible available Report Types
