FAQ

What do the SUSHI errors mean?

View SUSHI History in Alma

You can check the status of previous SUSHI jobs by going to Admin > Manage Jobs and Sets > Monitor Jobs. In the "History" tab, search for "SUSHI" and view the report.

Failed reports should be investigated and fixed.

SUSHI Errors

It can be difficult to understand SUSHI errors in the report history provided by Alma. To determine the cause of an error:

  1. Go to the "Usage Data" tab in the vendor record in Alma.
  2. Click (More actions) > Download next to any failed report.
  3. Open the downloaded file in a plain text editor like Notepad or TextEdit.
  4. Locate the error code.
  5. Consult Appendix F: Handling Errors and Exceptions in the most current COUNTER guide.

General Troubleshooting

  1. Verify that the SUSHI account details in Alma match what's in the vendor admin portal.
  2. Download usage reports directly from the vendor, then compare them to the data from SUSHI. Contact Ex Libris if the reports don't match.
  3. Reharvest the reports in Alma using the "Custom Harvest" option.
