Where does the classification code (e.g., call number) in Analytics come from?

LC Classifications, Dewey Classifications, and Other Classifications come from the bibliographic record. These dimensions are available in multiple subject areas.


Item Call Number and Item Call Number Type come from the item record. These dimensions are only available in the Physical Items subject area.


These fields come from the holdings record:

  • 852 MARC
  • Call Number Prefix
  • Call Number Suffix
  • Normalized Call Number
  • Permanent Call Number
  • Permanent Call Number Type
  • Permanent Dewey Classification Top Line
  • Permanent LC Classification Code
  • Permanent LC Classification Number
  • Permanent LC ClassificationTop Line

 

These fields are only available in the Physical Items subject area.
