FAQ

What is a ghost record?

Ghost records are bibliographic records that have been deleted from Alma, but still appear in Alma or OneSearch. This is an indexing error that usually resolves itself within a few minutes. If the problem persists, report it to Ex Libris.

Ghost records in Alma look like this:

Alma screen displaying the message "Indexing issue was identified with record and will be fixed for next search"

Ghost records in OneSearch look like this:

OneSearch screen displaying the words "deleted" and "ghost record"

It is not possible to do a search to identify ghost records.
